Buceador Caribe by Cuervo y Sobrinos

I love all my children the same, but differently. Same goes for my favorite watch brands. Sinn’s humorless dedication to tool watch indestructibility floats my boat. Grand Seiko flicks my Bic because they’re perfect. Cuervo y Sobrinos earns my admiration with their combination of minimalism, dial texture and, most of all, color. Not all of their watches hew (hue?) to that description, but the new Buceador Caribe does. That said, one of these things is not like the other . . .

Panerai Movement Scandal?

If you’re a celebrity, the world is your Oyster. Alternatively, a $3m “one-of-a-kind Richard Mille RM 56-01 Tourbillon, decked out in green sapphire.” That’s according to hypebeast.com. dmarge.com pegs it at $2.5m. Truth be told, neither website gives a flying f*ck how much Jay-Z paid for his ugly ass watch. Or the fact that Shawn Carter probably paid zilch for “his” Mille. All the watch blogs care about is clicks and affiliate deals. That said . . .

Lüm-Tec Combat B49 24H Review

Before I received my first Lüm-Tec, I was picking up what they were putting down. Aside from Lüm-Tec’s personalized attention and veterans’ discounts, I couldn’t resist their unique design language and luminous technology. I signed-up for two more watches on pre-order.
